Fucking retail

soooo I have two jobs but my second less meaningful job is at a bookstore. Why do people insist on talking down to booksellers? I mean really, yes i get minimum wage but im working hard dammit. Just because I stand behind that counter does not mean I am a less valuable person, get over yourselves... lol I know im bitching but isn't that why blogs were created for? anyways funny story: A customer asks me to find a book he does not remember the title OR author of. He begins to tell me about it, "It's about a guy who goes on a journey to find himself and goes through many challenges..."  yea that fucking helps, I mean really wtf? then he proceeds to get irritated and mad at ME for not knowing what book it was... "anyone who reads would know this book" THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW......i was like wtf do I look like, you expect me to read all these fucking books??? theres thousandssss of books at a BOOKSTORE... I read but not all of them...common sense asshole lol.....so as hes bitching to me, he sees someone he knows and starts conversating with them. I didn't mean to be nosy but they were talking right in front of me. The older woman asks him hows he doing, what hes up to...and he responds with the best answer of the day...."Im good, trying to get into ____ university...." as soon as he says this i feel like life is ironic....Here's this snobby asshole talking down to me like Im an idiot yet hes TRYING to get into the UNIVERSITY I am already AT.....wat a dick lol.... I def. have new found respect for all RETAIL employees.....
